Activity Description
The Florida Keys have some of the most spectacular reefs in the United States. As a matter of fact, it’s the only coral reef system in the continental United States and is home to over 40 species of reef-building corals that provide shelter, food, and breeding sites for millions of different plants and animals. This has made Islamorada a target destination for anglers from across the globe.
There are numerous wrecks and reefs all within sight of land that we can target fish on, and it’s truly a mixed bag. Our most common and popular catches are snapper, grouper, and mackerel. During the winter months, however, Sailfish are plentiful, as well as other species of pelagic fish! Wahoo, cobia, dolphin (Mahi Mahi), blackfin tuna, king mackerel, permit, and African pompano are not uncommon during those months. Within minutes of leaving the dock you’ll be on the reef bending a rod. Whether you’re an experienced angler looking for that trophy fish, or a family out for a fun day, this trip is fun for everyone!

The Florida Keys is home to many different species of sharks ranging from 15 lb. bonnet heads to some behemoth sized (200ish lb.) Bull sharks. You also may see blacktip, lemon, spinner, and nurse sharks. All of which put up one heck of a fight!
This up close and personal experience is unlike anything else. The thrill of the reel singing as a monster shark grabs ahold of a large bait and takes off with it, peeling hundreds of feet of drag, is unparalleled. No fighting chairs, and no leaving the rod in the rod holders. You’ll be standing up and fighting against one of nature’s top predators. There’s a solid chance that you’ll also hook up to one of the most iconic sportfish in the world. Nicknamed the Silver Kings, Tarpon are one of the most sought-after game fish of the Keys. Tarpon can reach up to 8 ft and 280 lbs. They are strong and put on an amazing display of aerobatics when you hook one.
